SEX TRAFFICKING

"As to the claim I support sex traffickers - the sex trafficking bill listed did nothing to secure our southern border (the largest source of trafficked individuals), and increased foreign aid by hundreds of millions of dollars without a way to pay for the increase. I didn’t vote for the doubling in spending without paying for it because the real answer to effectively limit sex trafficking is to secure the southern border - but this bill did nothing about that, sending hard-earned taxpayer dollars to foreign governments instead!"

VETERANS

"As a veteran who worked in a VA hospital, it’s ridiculous to claim I don’t care about veterans’ health care. The “burn pits” bill actually included  included other unrelated things as well - like the camp lejuene trial lawyer bonanza you see ads for on tv constantly now. The combined bill was a $300 billion program with no way to pay for it!  If it didn’t include a trial lawyer bonanza and there was a plan to cut other non-veteran programs to pay for it, I would have voted for it gladly."

ABORTION

"As to the ridiculous claim that I support no exceptions to abortion limit bills - I am a co-sponsor of the Lindsay Graham bill!  That bill sets a 15 week limit on abortion (in line with 47/50 European countries) with rape, incest,  and life of the mother exemptions. In contrast, my opponent supports publicly funded abortion for all nine months of pregnancy!  So the claim that I don’t support exceptions is a flat-out lie, and the extreme position, way out of touch with the vast majority of Americans is actually my opponent’s position of abortion at all times during pregnancy up until birth for any reason, publicly funded."
